Sipfolio is a coffee journal. This page explains what the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have — in as little legalese as we can manage.

01 Information we collect

Personal data

Sipfolio does not currently require an account or collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email, or phone number. If future versions add account-based features, this policy will be updated before they ship.

Non-personal data

We may collect anonymized information to improve the app experience, including:

Device information — device model, operating system version.
App usage data — feature interactions and settings preferences.
Crash logs — to help diagnose and fix issues.

Your journal entries

Sipfolio lets you log beans, recipes, tasting notes, and the coffee spaces you visit. This content is stored on your device and, if you enable it, synced through your private iCloud for personal backup.

02 How we use your data

The information we collect is used to:

Improve app features and personalize your experience.
Diagnose performance issues and fix bugs.
Provide location-based features, such as nearby coffee spaces.

We do not sell your data to third parties for marketing purposes.

03 Third-party services

Sipfolio relies on a small set of services to function:

Apple iCloud — to sync your journal across your own devices.
Analytics — to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used.

These services handle data under their own privacy policies.

04 Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, though no system is ever perfectly secure. We encourage enabling device encryption and strong authentication for an added layer of protection.

05 Your rights and choices

Edit or delete entries — change or remove anything in your journal at any time, right inside the app.
Manage location access — turn off location in your device settings if you'd rather skip location-based features.

06 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Sipfolio evolves. When we do, we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, surface a note inside the app.
